Refund Policy
1. Deposits
All inspection appointments require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
The deposit reserves your date, inspection window, and trained canine team.
Deposit Refund Policy

More than 48 hours before the appointment:
Full refund minus a $200 reservation fee. -
Within 48 hours of the appointment:
Deposit becomes non-refundable. -
No-shows or failure to grant access at arrival:
Deposit is forfeited and the full inspection fee may be charged.
2. Full Payment Refund Policy
The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your scheduled inspection.
This is required because our team often commits to:

Travel routes and fuel planning
-
K9 readiness preparation
-
Handler scheduling
-
Blocking the full inspection window
-
Turning away other clients for your time slot

Full Payment Refund Policy
A refund of the remaining balance (excluding the deposit) is issued only if:

You cancel more than 48 hours before the appointment; OR
-
TrueSight K9s cancels the appointment for safety, environmental, or operational reasons.

Cancellations Within 48 Hours
If you cancel within 48 hours, the remaining balance is not refundable due to travel and preparation already allocated to your inspection.

If TrueSight K9s Cancels
In the event TrueSight K9s must cancel for internal reasons, including—but not limited to—handler limitations, K9 readiness concerns, severe weather, or environmental hazards, you will receive:

A full refund, including the deposit
OR -
A no-cost reschedule, per your preference
3. Rescheduling
We understand schedules shift and real estate timelines can be unpredictable.
Rescheduling Rules

More than 48 hours before the appointment:
You may reschedule at no additional cost. -
Within 48 hours:
Rescheduling may result in the deposit being forfeited and may require a new deposit to secure a different date.
If environmental hazards or K9 safety concerns prevent completion of the inspection, TrueSight K9s will reschedule at no charge to the client.
4. Refunds Due to K9 Performance or Environmental Limitations
Detection dogs are living animals and may be affected by environmental conditions, distractions, or unusual scent saturation.
If the K9 displays reduced accuracy, stress, or incomplete performance, TrueSight K9s may offer, at our discretion:

A free rescheduled appointment,

A partial refund, or
-
A full refund,
based on the nature of the interruption and the work completed.
Examples include:

Heavy chemical odors blocking scent detection

Excessive noise or construction
-
Dangerous environmental conditions
-
Extreme heat or unsafe indoor air quality

The dog exhibiting signs of stress or unfocused behavior
We prioritize honesty, transparency, and animal welfare at all times.
5. Refund Method & Timeframe
Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used at booking (PayPal, credit card, or Venmo), unless otherwise agreed.
Typical processing times:

3–5 business days for Venmo

5–10 business days for PayPal/credit cards
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:

Deposits forfeited due to late cancellation

Missed appointments or no-shows
-
Add-on services already completed (air sampling, surface sampling, diagrams)

Site visit fees if travel has already occurred

Time spent on location by the handler or K9 team

Any fees charged by third-party platforms (e.g., PayPal transaction fees)
7. Rescheduling or Cancellation by TrueSight K9s
If we must cancel due to:

Unsafe working conditions
-
Severe weather
-
Environmental hazards
-
Handler safety issues
-
K9 readiness or wellness concerns
-
Vehicle breakdown or unforeseen operational issues
You will be offered:

A full refund including deposit,
OR -
A rescheduled inspection at the earliest available date with no penalties.

9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes relating to refunds follow the process outlined in our Mold Detection Agreement, including:

Attempted informal resolution

Small Claims Court (if eligible)

Binding arbitration for all other disputes
This ensures fairness while avoiding excessive legal expense.
10. Policy Updates
TrueSight K9s may update this Refund Policy periodically. The policy posted on the Website at the time of your cancellation will be the policy applied.
